Silver Airways Virtual

Silver Airways Virtual is a virtual airline community with a passion for flying the ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 on real-world Silver Airways routes throughout Florida, Bahamas, and the Caribbean. We are committed to providing a professional operational experience for our pilots and are dedicated to creating a learning environment for those less-experienced pilots who wish to make the jump from complex, multi-engine, general aviation aircraft into a commercial turboprop used by many regional airlines across the globe.

Our commitment also extends to the VATSIM network so that we may provide controllers with the opportunity to combine turboprop traffic into their usual jet traffic routines. Silver Airways Virtual has scheduled routes which navigate through airspace within Jacksonville ARTCC (ZJX), Miami ARTCC (ZMA: Domestic and ZMO: Oceanic), Nassau FIR (MYNA), Santo Domingo FIR (MDCS), San Juan CERAP (ZSU), Curacao FIR (TNCF), and Piarco FIR (TTZP). Our goal is for SAV to establish great working relationships with each of these controller communities and to continually learn from them (and vice versa) as we partner together. Our culture will be one of mutual respect for the controllers (and pilots) that we come in contact with and our reputation as a virtual airline will ultimately be determined by those interactions.

We also encourage (although not required) that all our pilots engage VATSIM on another level... as a controller. Even if it's just an entry-level S1 assignment. Volunteering your time as a controller can be a game-changer in your own pilot development and provide a deeper understanding and respect for our controller community.
